Officers are hunting for two young men who fled the scene following a police chase in Edinburgh.
Yesterday we told how footage showed both a police vehicle and a car completely smashed up following the incident which happened shortly after 10am near Meadowbank in the capital on Thursday, October 13. Emergency services rushed to the scene and a section of London Road was closed to all traffic.
A picture of the wreckage, shared by Edinburgh Live, showed one side of the grey Volkswagen Golf GTI having suffered significant damage as a result of the collision, with all airbags in the vehicle released. Police have confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen from Paisley Avenue around 8.40am and was asked to stop by officers in Whitehill Road around 9.50am the same day.
