Cops hunting for driver that fled the scene after Dundee hit and run

Cops are hunting for the driver of a car that fled the scene after a crash with a teenage motorcyclist in Dundee.

The incident happened around 6.30pm on Saturday, August 20, on Magdalen Yard Road and involved a motorcyclist and a blue car, thought to be a Ford Mondeo or similar model.

The driver of the car did not stop after the incident and the 18-year-old male motorcyclist was treated at the scene.

Officers are urging anyone with information, or dash cam footage, to get in touch as enquiries remain ongoing to trace the car.

Constable Peter Fraser, of Dundee Road Policing Unit, said: “We are asking for anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash, or anyone with information on the vehicle involved, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our investigation to contact police.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2933 of 20 August.”
