Shoplifting gang busted as retailers face rising thefts

Strong police work to uncover one of Australia's largest theft syndicates has been welcomed by retailers, who warn shoplifting is rampant without any simple solutions.

Victoria Police on Friday revealed it had arrested 19 people who allegedly shoplifted more than $10 million worth of goods.
