A residential street behind Falkirk 's Central Retail Park was swooped on by numerous emergency service crews.
Police and paramedics, including a Critical Care Team from the Scottish Ambulance Service, were called to Victoria Road in the town shortly after 4.30pm yesterday.
At least five cop vehicles and three ambulances were spotted at a block of flats - with the ambulance leaving under a police escort around an hour later.
The nature of the incident remains unclear.
Panicked locals were quick to take to social media, with one describing the incident as "serious".
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of concern for a person at a property on Victoria Road in Falkirk around 4.35pm on Tuesday, 3 May.
"Emergency services attended and the person has been taken to hospital for treatment."
