Ukraine’s former First Deputy Director-General of the National Police, Vyacheslav Abroskin, has slammed the Russians for not taking him up on his offer to become their hostage in exchange for freeing the kids of Mariupol.
Shortly after Abroskin offered to surrender, the Ukrainian authorities released their estimated death toll for the bombing of the Mariupol theatre, in which hundreds, if not thousands, of people had been hiding when it was hit by a Russian missile. The Ukrainian authorities say they believe an estimated 300 people died in that attack alone.
