The Los Angeles Rams got excellent news on Friday when Sean McVay informed the team that he’s coming back for the 2023 season. McVay took a few days after the season ended to weigh his future, but he’s not ready to give up coaching yet.
Rams fans rejoiced and players in the locker room are probably thrilled to have McVay back, too. Cooper Kupp tweeted his reaction to McVay returning to the Rams and he took a funny angle with it.
It appeared McVay was on the verge of retiring but as Kupp says, those rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated.

The Rams were prepared for McVay’s potential departure, with Kevin Demoff saying they had contingency plans in place that were “ready to be enacted.”
They’ll be grateful not to have to use those backup plans, keeping their Super Bowl-winning coach in the fold for at least one more year.
