Just days before Coolio 's untimely death on Wednesday, the rapper gave what would become the poignant last performance of his biggest hit Gangster's Paradise.
The 59-year-old star performed at The Roundup Music Venue in Texas where thousands of music fans joined him in belting out the lyrics to the much-loved song for the final time.
The outpouring of love came as the rapper had also been working on new music before he passed away at the age of 59.
Coolio, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr, was reported dead while at a friend's house in Los Angeles.
The musician died from suspected cardiac arrest, with his heartbroken manager confirming the shock death to the world shortly after.
A friend had found Coolio laying unresponsive on their bathroom floor.
No official cause of death has yet been announced but police have told TMZ an investigation has been launched.
Just days before his death, the iconic musician shared footage of his final performance on Instagram, as he belted out many hits including Gangsta's Paradise.
In the video, fans went wild for Coolio and sang along to every song. His final performance came just four days before his death was announced.
Coolio had also headlined Riot Festival on September 18 and The Great Frederick Fair in the days before.
Following his death, fans took to the comments section to offer their condolences to his friends and family.
Coolio had also been in the process of making new music, having said he was working on a collaboration with Christy Dignam in July.
"We've just got into it. We're working on a track. We haven't even started writing any lyrics. The track is being built as we speak.
"Somewhere within the next four to six weeks we should have something tangible we could work with," he told The Irish Examiner.
He added: "It's probably going to be a banger, I would imagine. I don't know if it's going to be dark and deep or if we're going to go clubby and happy — that remains to be seen.
"I'm more inclined with being dark and deep and still being a banger."
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer was one of the first celebrities to pay tribute to the late star as the news broke.
She told her fans she was "heartbroken" as she reflected on the rapper's "brilliant song" Gangsta's Paradise, which was used for the soundtrack of her hit film Dangerous Minds.
Fellow musicians LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, MC Hammer and Ice Cube also took to social media to remember the late rapper.
On Wednesday, Coolio's longtime manager, Jarez, confirmed the star's death - explaining how his late client was visiting a friend in Los Angeles when they became concerned after he went to the bathroom and didn't return.
Jarez told TMZ how Coolio was unresponsive to calls for him to return, leading the pal to check on the star. However, he was found laying on the floor.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star is said to have been pronounced dead at the scene after his friend had called emergency services.
