Enjoy the cool weather while it lasts, as weathermen expect temperatures to rise again next week.

The Meteorological Department said on Friday the cool weather is expected to continue into Saturday and Sunday, and then be replaced by warm weather.

The weather agency added a Facebook post saying temperatures would first dip by 1-2°C in all regions, with the northern and northeastern regions impacted the most by the cold front from southern China.

Mae Sariang district in Mae Hong Son province was the coldest place in the country on Friday morning, with the temperature to 13°C at 5am. This did not include mountain tops.

Temperatures in Greater Bangkok are forecast to be between 20°C and 23°C this weekend, the department said.
