Social housing build hits the wall as target slips away

Labor's flagship social housing program has delivered just 1607 social and affordable homes almost halfway through its allocated time frame to build 40,000 homes.

Housing Australia's latest update to a parliamentary committee hearing showed about 200 more homes had been delivered by the end of August since its previous update in July.
