Convicted murderer Christa Pike leaves hospital, returns to prison after botched execution

Christa Pike's lawyers on Saturday said that the 50-year-old convicted murderer has been discharged from the hospital and returned to prison. Pike was transported to the hospital in critical condition on September 30 after she survived Tennessee's botched effort to execute her for murdering a classmate when she was a teenager.

The convicted murderer who survived a botched execution attempt in the US state of Tennessee last week has been discharged from hospital and returned to prison, her lawyers said Saturday.
