American stand up comedian Dave Chappelle has been announced for Dublin's 3Arena on Wednesday, September 14 2022.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, August 5 at 9am from ticketmaster.ie. The divisive comedian was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2019.
He has also earned more than 30 nominations and awards in television and film for projects that include Chappelle’s Show, comedy specials and guest appearances on Saturday Night Live. Most recently, he got his fifth Emmy Award in 2021.

Chappelle has won the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album three years in a row, 2018 through 2020. Meanwhile, the comedian's material hasn't always gone down well with audiences.
A venue in Minneapolis cancelled a Dave Chappelle show hours before it was scheduled to start.
"The First Avenue team and you have worked hard to make our venues the safest space in the country, and we will continue with that mission," they said in a statement.
Chappelle has received criticism over the last few years for his jokes about the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people. Last year, Netflix employees staged a walkout in protest of the streaming platform's controversial special.
In 2017, Netflix cited Dave Chappelle: Collection 1 as the most-viewed comedy special ever on their network.
