China's plans for a new super-embassy in London have been approved by ministers despite intelligence agencies saying they cannot eliminate the risks to national security.
Local Government Secretary Steve Reed green lit the proposals for the huge complex at Royal Mint Court, opposite the Tower of London, on Tuesday, amid heavy criticism from MPs and campaigners over its security implications.
