Contract details, salary cap breakdown for WR Chris Moore

Signing one-year contracts has become a yearly ritual for wide receiver Chris Moore.

Cards Wire has learned the terms of the deal signed by Moore and all of the 19 contracts have been reported since the start of the league year March 13. That includes 10 players re-signed plus nine new additions.

Moore’s contract is worth $2 million with $750,000 guaranteed and includes a $500,000 signing bonus.

His base salary is $1.28 million, of which $250,000 is guaranteed. The deal also includes $10,000 per-game roster bonuses for a potential total of $170,000 and a $50,000 offseason workout bonus. The salary-cap charge is also $2 million.

This is the fifth consecutive one-year contract signed as an unrestricted free agent by Moore, who was selected by the Ravens in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2016 draft. He played five seasons in Baltimore with 61 games and five starts, two with the Texans (28/8) and last season with the Titans (17/5).

In total, Moore has played 106 games with 18 starts. His career totals are 138 receptions for 1,710 yards (12.4 average) and eight touchdowns.

Last season, he caught 22 passes for 424 yards (19.3 average) with no touchdowns. His long reception the last three seasons is 67, 52 and 49, while playing 68% of the offensive snaps in 2022 and 57% last season.

Moore, who will be 31 on June 16, becomes only the fourth player on the Cardinals roster who is currently at least 30 years old and fifth who will be 30 when the season begins.

The others:

  • Kicker Matt Prater: 40 on Aug. 10.
  • Tackle Kelvin Beachum 35 on June 8.
  • Long snapper Aaron Brewer: 34 on July 5.
  • Linebacker Dennis Gardeck will be 30 on Aug. 9.
