A tanker has run aground in the River Clyde near to the Erskine Bridge near Glasgow.
The Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team confirmed the news to Glasgow Live, and noted that marine teams at Clydeport are currently dealing with the incident due to its location "within harbour limits".
They were alerted to reports that container ship Wilson Blythe - sailing under the flag of Barbados - had run aground around 10am this morning.
Maritime analytics site Marine Traffic shows the ship, which has a length of around 90 metres and width of 13 metres, situated at an angle in the River Clyde near to the Erskine Bridge Hotel.

Tracking records on Marine Traffic show the vessel departed from Stromarknes in Norway on July 11 bound for Glasgow, where it was due to arrive at 11am this morning.
Glasgow Live has learned that the vessel got stuck on a sandbank in the river.
One person who spotted the incident on the site took to Twitter to post a photo of the ship's predicament, dubbing it "Glasgow's Ever Given" - in reference to the 2021 incident which saw the Suez Canal blocked for six days after the megaship ran aground.
Peel Ports Clydeport have since informed Glasgow Live that tugs were deployed to assist and the vessel was towed upstream to Shieldhall for repairs.
A spokesman for Peel Ports Clydeport said: “We were notified of a vessel running aground at approximately 10.30am near the Erskine Bridge after a mechanical breakdown and loss of steerage.
“Tugs were deployed at the request of the shipmaster and the vessel was towed to King George V Dock for repairs.”
