Residents across the Vale of Glamorgan are being invited to share their thoughts on potential changes to their community boundaries. The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales has opened its initial consultation as the community review of the county gets under way.
The community review will look at all community boundaries within the Vale of Glamorgan with changes to those boundaries possible where a need is identified. Chief executive of the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales Shereen Williams said: “Communities are the level of government closest to the people and it's vital that they continue to accurately represent people in every part of the Vale of Glamorgan.
“The commission’s website is full of information on the review and on communities in general so I would encourage everyone to find out more about what the changes could mean to them and to submit their views before March 28.” The review will also explore the possibility of community ward boundary changes along with the arrangements town and community councils. This includes the number of councillors who are elected to councils.
