There's a lot of reasons why fans love the Gundam series and in addition to friendship and freedom, it's also on the love of tinkering with and building giant mecha. Now in chase you didn't know, the Gundam Breaker franchise is celebrating its 11th anniversary starting July 18.
One of the things happening during the celebration is that players on console get the chance to test out Gundam Breaker 4. That's right! Bandai Namco has announced that there's going to be a console Open Network Test from July 18 to July 20. It's going to be on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch.
Gundam Breaker 4 is scheduled to be released August 29 on the PC through Steam.
The Open Network Test has console players finally try their hand at the game. This is the first number entry that's being released to the West.
In the game, players can assemble those magnificent Gunpla creations through at least 20 Mobile Suits along with more than 250 base suits. Once they're done creating the Gundam they want, they can then join other players in multiplayer battles which feature three-player co-op and try to overcome waves of enemy Gunpla and giant boss mechas.
After they defeat enemies, they then get to collect parts and make bigger and better Mobile Suits. The Open Network Test also includes a series-first where players get to use their Gunpla creations as their avatar in the multiplayer lobby.

In Gundam Breaker 4, players get to mesh together their own mecha creations with parts from more than 250 iconic Mobile Suits from across the Gundam series. They then get to test their creations on a virtual battle where a maximum of three players fight in co-op multiplayer.
One of the new features that players can look forward to is one where they get to use two different weapons which then result in releasing unique combos. In between the fights, players get access to a robust mecha garage where they can customize their creations using new parts along with paint, decals, and weathering.
