Conservatory and window company in Gloucestershire ceases trading

A 30-year-old window, door and conservatory company in Gloucestershire has ceased trading, BusinessLive can reveal.

It is understood that High-Tech Windows, which is based at Staverton Business Park on Gloucester Road, recently appointed administrators.

It is not yet clear whether any jobs at the firm are at risk, but the company’s phone line goes to a voicemail that says the business is “currently having technical issues”. BusinessLive’s emails to High-Tech Windows received an auto-response that confirmed the business had stopped trading.

"We have offered our assistance to help the administrators with the management of any existing contracts and any chargeable service work," the email stated.

It advised anyone who has recently purchased from High-Tech, or had an installation in the last 10 years, to contact the insurer named on their independent Insurance-backed warranty for help. High-Tech said people with an outstanding installation would be contacted “very soon” to arrange for the project to be completed.

The email added: “We are waiting on information from the receiver to resolve this situation as fast as possible. Any work installed from the appointed company will be guaranteed under your original terms and conditions.”

Customers who want to get in touch with High-Tech are being advised to email linda@hightechwindows.co.uk with the following information:

  • High-Tech contract number;
  • name;
  • address;
  • contact telephone number.

According to its website, High-Tech Windows covers Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire, and claims to have fitted more than 40,000 windows, doors and conservatories since it was established. The company's director is named as Hayden Rushton on Companies House.

High-Tech Windows has not yet responded to a request for comment.
