A conservative Catholic nonprofit advocacy group has launched an ad campaign targeting Vice President Kamala Harris' immigration record, focusing on 300,000 Catholic and Hispanic voters in Arizona, a key swing state.
The ad features photos of 11-year-old Maria Gonzalez, who was allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant in Texas last year. The perpetrator, Juan Carlos Garcia-Rodriguez, entered the U.S. illegally from Guatemala in 2023 and was allowed to remain in the country through a sponsor in Louisiana.
The ad blames the Biden-Harris administration for releasing the alleged killer, stating, 'The murderer? An illegal alien released by the Biden-Harris administration.' It criticizes Vice President Harris for her handling of the border during her three-year tenure and urges to 'Protect the vulnerable. Not Votes.'
This new ad, part of a six-figure campaign in Arizona, is a digital and OTT effort by CatholicVote to shed light on Harris' border record since her appointment by President Biden in 2021.
CatholicVote's president, Brian Burch, condemned Harris' management of the border as 'morally indefensible,' attributing American citizens' deaths and risks to vulnerable migrants to her failures. Burch emphasized the suffering of real people, including children, due to the prioritization of politics and votes over lives.
Burch called for a leader to restore order and sanity at the border to prevent further tragedies, stating that the ad campaign is just the beginning of efforts to reveal the truth about Harris' actions.
