GUNTUR: Stating that any culture will survive only with the survival of the language, Andhra Pradesh high court judge Justice U Durga Prasada Rao called upon the people to strive hard for the conservation of Telugu language.

He said that people should not feel ashamed of for speaking in their mother tongue and should not encourage the children to speak only in foreign languages. Speaking at Ugadi Sahiti Vasantotsvam organized by Sahiti Samakhya here on Saturday, Justice Prasad said that people could learn number of languages to improve their abilities in the job market.

“It doesn’t mean that you should not speak in your mother tongue. We should keep in mind that our rich culture and heritage could long last only till we conserve the Telugu language,” he noted.
