An ex-friend of Conor McGregor has lost his court battle against the former MMA star over controversial "rat" tweets that a judge ruled were no more than vulgar abuse - and not "clearly defamatory".
The High Court rejected an application by retired MMA fighter Artem Lobov for orders requiring Conor McGregor to take down the allegedly defamatory social media posts about the Dublin-based Russian.
In his ruling Mr Justice Garrett Simons, said that he was not satisfied that the statements made by Mr McGregor on social media where Mr Lobov is called "a rat" are "clearly defamatory."
