Posting a still image of his knockout punch against Ivan Buchinger in 2012, McGregor took aim at fighters who continue to strike their opponent after they have already been knocked out.
The famous knock-out sees McGregor catch Buchinger cold with a straight left hand. Buchinger crumbles to the mat, and McGregor pauses before deciding ultimately not to strike his opponent on the ground.

Commenting on this moment, McGregor wrote the following on Twitter:
"I was never going to hit here. Fighters that do this are dishonorable in my opinion. It’s so much smoother to recognize the KO and billi walk off."
McGregor made that post at 7:43am Irish time. However, as the Notorious is in Las Vegas filming the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter, the time was actually closer to midnight in Nevada.
The Irishman will surely be hoping for a similar result to the Buchinger fight when he returns to the Octagon against Michael Chandler later this year.
'Mystic Mac' hasn't fought since July 2021, where he suffered a horrific leg injury in defeat to Dustin 'The Diamond' Poirier.
