Conor McGregor reached out to TJ Reid after Kilkenny's recent All-Ireland final loss.
Kilkenny narrowly lost out to three-in-a-row winning Limerick in Croke Park last month with Reid starring for the Cats.
And the five time All-Star popped into Conor McGregor's Dublin pub, the Black Forge Inn shortly after their final loss.

The social media team at the Black Forge Inn posted an image of Reid with McGregor's UFC belt, saying: "Thanks for dropping by @tjreid12"
And McGregor sent a message to Reid, commenting underneath saying: "Real recognize real!"
While Reid said: "Thanks for having us"
TJ Reid turns 35 later this year and has not announced if he'll return for another year.
Brian Cody has recently stepped down as Cats boss after his legendary stint winning 11 All-Ireland titles.
Reid himself won seven All-Ireland titles and has been awarded an All Star award on five occasions.
The Kilkenny legend also was named Player of the Year in 2015.
