Conor McGregor sends booze truck to Wrexham as Ryan Reynolds' side wins again

Conor McGregor surprised Wrexham fans by delivering his Forged Irish Stout to Wales before their latest win.

Fans were able to get their hands on McGregor's iconic stout as the UFC star sent his Nitro Truck to The Racecourse Ground on Tuesday afternoon. Wrexham went on to beat Yeovil Town 3-0 later that evening with goals from Anthony Forde, James Jones and Paul Mullin pushing the side one step closer to an EFL return.

McGregor partnered up with the local Your Space autism charity in Wrexham to raise funds and all proceeds from the sale of his stout went to the charity. The Irishman donated £10,000 of his own money and was able to raise an additional £2,200 for the charity, with the money being presented to Wrexham forward Mullin who is an ambassador for Your Space.

“The Wrexham success story is incredible and I can relate to it," McGregor said. "That ambition, the hard work and passion to become the very best. I wanted to reward their fans by making them the first to sample my stout on these shores. Their desire for success inspires me and much like Forged Stout they’re not here to take part, they’re here to take over!

"I’m also incredibly proud to support the local Your Space Autism charity through Forged Irish Stout along with Paul Mullin. This is a cause that is very close to me and my team's heart and I’m grateful to Paul for offering me the opportunity to support such a worthy cause and for the work he puts into Your Space. I look forward to visiting Wrexham soon."

The Nitro Truck that appeared outside the Welsh ground was kitted up to serve over 1,000 pints of Forged Irish Stout and McGregor is expected to be a regular visitor in Wrexham as the cans for his drink are made in the outskirts of the city. Mullin admitted he was overwhelmed by McGregor's support and said the £10,000 he donated to the charity will go a long way.

"I am totally blown away by the generosity of Conor McGregor to reach out and make such a significant donation to Your Space Wales. A charity that is doing amazing work to support families of children with Autism, a charity that is obviously so close to my family's heart, £10,000 is such a significant amount of money to receive and will go a long way to support those who need it."
