Conor McGregor has savagely trolled Floyd Mayweather ahead of the American boxer's exhibition fight with Deji.
The undefeated self-proclaimed 'Best ever' will take on Youtube sensation Deji in an exhibition bout next month. Mayweather, who retired with a perfect 50-0 record after beating McGregor back in 2017, has fought in numerous exhibition bouts since his last professional contest five years ago.
'Money' has made a habit of fighting celebrities as opposed to boxers in these exhibition contests, with the likes of Logan Paul among the list of recent opponents. Next up for Mayweather is the aforementioned Deji. The 25-year-old younger brother of KSI has four fights to his name. He lost his first three fights before winning in his professional debut against Yusef 'Fousey' Erakata a couple of months ago.
Rumours have run rampant that McGregor was in line for a rematch with Mayweather. The 45-year-old has chosen to take on the man 20 years his junior instead, and when McGregor was asked on Twitter what he thought about the fight, the Dubliners disdain for the matchup is clear to see.
"Hahaha," is the only response McGregor could force himself to type.
The 34-year-old still hasn't made his return to the Octagon following his horrific leg injury against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. 'The Notorious' has recently stepped up his training with a view to returning to the cage in the coming months, but no fight announcement has been made.
