An English food reviewer has praised Conor McGregor's Crumlin pub for its food and service during a trip to Dublin.
Calling the food served at the Black Forge Inn "absolutely banging" and "f***ing gorgeous", Tony from Food Review Club praised the pub's "slick service". He had hot and sticky chicken wings to start followed by a 15 oz rump steak with Proper 12 sauce and finished off with strawberries in cream for dessert.
He even praised McGregor's Forged Irish Stout as "f***ing lovely" and had nothing but good things to say about the Drimnagh Road spot. He said: "I was really unsure what to expect here at the Black Forge Inn and I haven't got a bad word to say about it.

"In fact, it's all positives. The team were on point, they were energetic, they were polite, they were well drilled, there was a slick service. The food was delicious, particularly those wings. The steak was delicious and the deserts showed a real class and intent. The stout they're doing as well was fantastic. Everything about what we've experienced today was delicious."
But he did not have such nice things to say about Irish staple Supermacs where he ordered a large chicken breast sandwich meal with dressed fries and a beef burger with bacon and cheese. The fast food chain he referred to as the "Irish McDonald's" seemed to really disappoint him.
He said: "Please don't mention the word Supermac's in the same sentence as McDonald's. McDonald's gets a bad rap but the one thing it is is consistent. You know what you're getting, I like it, when you're getting one, it hits the f***ing spot. If I was wanting to lift my spirits and came here a bit down in the dumps and I had that, I'd probably be locked up at some stage.
"I'm fuming. The chicken was dry, overcooked, the chips were alright. They tasted trashy, but like yummy trashy. The rest was just trashy. Not yummy trashy. I'd give it give it a one out of ten. I hope that was just a bad one."
