Conor McGregor offered fight on Katie Taylor Dublin card

Conor McGregor has been challenged to a fight on the same card as Katie Taylor's expected rematch with Amanda Serrano later this year.

The Bray Bomber faces Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena next month and if successful on May 20, Taylor is expected to face Serrano in a re-run of their 2022 classic at Croke Park in September.

Jake Paul, who works as the Puerto Rican's promoter, has challenged McGregor to a fight as the co-main event on the night after the UFC star backed his former rival Nate Diaz to beat the Youtuber in their boxing bout in August.

McGregor told Inside Fighting on Saturday: "I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off of him and I look forward to seeing it."

Appearing to respond to those comments on Sunday, Paul tweeted: "I'm a better boxer than you Connor and will do what you couldn’t and knock Nate out. After Nate let’s box as the co main event same night as Katie Taylor VS. Amanda Serrano in Dublin. But since you’re not your own boss you will hide behind Dana or just drink the rest of your life away. August 5th you will see."

Paul's Most Valuable Promotions later added: "Katie Taylor is the greatest Irish athlete of all time. Amanda Serrano is the greatest Puerto Rican boxer of all time. The rematch in Ireland is massive. Add Jake Paul and Conor McGregor and you just made the biggest fight event in European history."

McGregor has only fought once in a boxing ring, losing to Floyd Mayweather via TKO in the tenth round of their 2017 Las Vegas bout.

In comparison, Paul won his first six boxing bouts before losing via split-decision to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia in February of this year.

He faces Diaz at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on August 5.
