UFC star Conor McGregor has left the biggest hint yet as to when he may return to the octagon and fight in the UFC once again.
The Dubliner liked an Instgaram post which contained key details of his next fight, including the date, his most probable opponent and the weight class it will be fought at.
The post from mmapack read: "Conor McGregor will fight at welterweight when he returns in early 2023.

"Justin “the Highlight” Gaethje is the front-runner to be McGregor’s opponent."
Gaethje notably fought most recently in the lightweight division, with defeat coming against Brazilian Charles Oliveira in May of this year.
If the claim of the post is true, it would mean the onus would be on both fighters to add bulk to make weight for any potential bout.
McGregor has been out of action since the final leg of his trilogy with Dustin Poirier last summer.
That fight ended in defeat for the Notorious, with the leg break he sustained subsequently ruling him out of competitive action for some time following the bout.
He has spent time away from the octagon and fans will recall many different social media posts where he was seen enjoying down time with family.
But now, a return date seems to be looming in what is great news for Irish UFC fans.
