Conor McGregor is one of the people to have previously declared an interest in buying Manchester United.
News broke on Tuesday that the Glazer family is looking to explore new options in terms of investment, with a sale of the club also a possibility. United 's owners faced large-scale scrutiny over the last few years, with protests often seen outside Old Trafford in the build-up to games.
UFC star McGregor is one of a few celebrity names to have spoken about a potential takeover, with the Irishman a lifelong United fan. The 34-year-old has also expressed an interest in Liverpool and Chelsea in the past.

Following the announcement of the proposed European Super League plans back in April 2021, McGregor took to Twitter, writing: "Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying Manchester United! Adding further information to his initial tweet, McGregor wrote: "A conversation came up regarding Celtic first to be honest. To acquire shares from Dermot Desmond. I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure. But I am open. I feel I could do big things for a club."
