Conor McGregor fans convinced star's fiancee will be upset about Ebanie Bridges photo

Conor McGregor posed for pictures with boxing star Ebanie Bridges over the weekend and fans fear the UFC's star fiancee Dee Devlin will be less than impressed.

Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor, 34, bumped into Bridges when the pair attended Katie Taylor's homecoming fight against Chantelle Cameron in Dublin on Saturday night. McGregor was left devastated at ringside after Taylor suffered her first professional defeat as Cameron successfully defended her super-welterweight titles on the night.

Bridges, who currently holds the IBF female bantamweight title, posted a series of pictures alongside McGregor and fans were quick to bring Devlin into the conversation by insisting she wouldn't be happy with her fiancee. "There is no reality in which Dee Devlin is happy with this interaction," one user wrote before a second added: "Dee is going to get you."

"This upsets me after seeing how happy Conor and Dee are in the Netflix documentary," a third user wrote. "I can't see Dee will be impressed with these pictures! Just imagine if the show was on the other foot," a fourth added before a final comment read: "I can imagine the conversation with Dee when he gets home already."

McGregor and Bridges were on opposing sides for the main event between Taylor and Cameron as 'The Blonde Bomber' was supporting the defending champion, who improved to 18-0 with her decision win. Taylor is expected to activate her rematch clause in an effort to avenge the loss but Cameron has insisted a second fight must be on her terms, which could include a homecoming of her own in Northampton.

A boxing return is something that McGregor is keen on following his illustrious 2017 'money fight' against Floyd Mayweather, but 'Notorious' wants to first see out his UFC career. The Irishman is set to face Michael Chandler at the end of this year after recently coaching against his rival on the UFC's reality TV series The Ultimate Fighter.

McGregor is set to return to the USADA testing pool next month to complete six months of mandatory drug-testing for his upcoming fight - and he told Mirror Fighting an announcement will be made on an episode of The Ultimate Fighter. "It will be announced during The Ultimate Fighter. So The Ultimate Fighter is airing now in a couple of days on ESPN, and by the time that show finishes we'll have a date and everything set for the fans," he said.
