Conor McGregor confuses fans by repeating phrase 10 times in different accents

Conor McGregor's latest social media post has fans baffled as he rattled off 10 different accents to practise what appears to be his new catchphrase.

The former two-weight UFC world champion took to Twitter yesterday to re-share a video of himself flexing in the mirror with his new muscular physique, with the caption "the most power Twitter's ever seen". Over two million people watched the clip, which had already been posted to Instagram, before he posted an even stranger voice note moments later.

In this voice memo, McGregor can be heard repeating the phrase in a number of outlandish accents, including impressions of Micky Mouse and Christopher Lee. The Irishman, who is currently on set in the Dominican Republic for Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie Road House tried on a number of voices while repeating the phrase, making one deviation when he changed it to "the most power Twitter's ever laid eyes on".

He then shared a selfie with a caption declaring himself an "action star" and noted that he would "box your jaw in at the Box office". McGregor even responded to one fan, who asked him "what are you using?" by insisting that he was drinking his own brand of alcohol.

"Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout," was his answer in a quote tweet. "Served alongside my own, organically grown, Irish beef, served on a hot stone." He also declared that he was using "Tidl spray for pain," although didn't specify what pain.

Fans have been confused and at times worried for McGregor with his latest erratic social media posts, as one wrote "Bro are you alright?" While another added: "Conor bro, you've lost the plot." One fan also asked McGregor "You ok our kid?" And another declared that he was "off his barnet again".

However, it wasn't all negative in the comments of McGregor's voice note. One fan felt that the clip was hysterical, writing: "LMAO [Laughing my a** off] this is legendary. The Liverpool one and the Christopher Lee one had me in stitches. The range shown here actually isn't terrible, I just want to know what line of thought led him to do this."

McGregor and his family will spend the next few days on set before he returns to continue his comeback journey. He broke his leg during his bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July of last year, and has yet to have a full MMA spar, much less confirm a return to the octagon.

He has packed on considerable weight with his upper body workouts since the injury, however, and has vowed to make his return at welterweight. After already winning world honours in Cage Warriors and then the UFC at featherweight and lightweight, he feels that his next challenge should be becoming a three-weight world champion by winning gold at 170lb.

To do that, McGregor will have to get through the winner of a planned trilogy bout between his Paradigm Sports Management stablemate Leon Edwards and the legendary former champion Kamaru Usman. The pair are one apiece in their series, with Edwards recently landing a stunning knockout on the ex-title holder, who had never lost in the UFC.
