Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler clash on TV show - "A lot of s*** went down"

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler seemingly had a run-in whilst coaching against each other on the UFC's reality TV show ahead of their fight.

The rivals are currently filming season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter together in Las Vegas before they meet in the octagon later this year. McGregor will look to pick up his first UFC win in over three years when he faces Chandler, who has a UFC record of two wins and three losses.

McGregor and Chandler seemed to be on good terms but things changed as they recently had a fall-out, according to UFC boss Dana White. Whilst speaking to reporters including Mirror Fighting following the conclusion of UFC 285 on Saturday night, White revealed that "s** went down" between McGregor and Chandler whilst they filmed an episode of The Ultimate Fighter together.

“Chandler and Conor were very respectful to each other and then some things started escalating that you’ll see on the show," White said. "They do not like each other now, a lot of s*** went down on Friday. I don’t look at stuff that’s good for the show or things like that. Whatever happens, happens.

“The stuff that just happened shouldn’t have happened and I’m getting old, boys. I’m getting old. I would’ve been in there sooner back in the old days but not good… There was a lot of s*** that went down on Friday.” It's unclear what took place between McGregor and Chandler on the show, with neither fighter giving any hints on social media.

Both McGregor and Chandler were in attendance at UFC 285 to watch Jon Jones tap out Ciryl Gane to win the heavyweight title. Chandler addressed the media and revealed that him and McGregor don't see eye-to-eye "in a lot of ways", but admitted he still respects his rival.

"I'm a pretty nice even keel guy but I don't really like Conor McGregor that much," he told The Mac Life. "I've got a ton of respect for him, but he and I don't see eye-to-eye in a lot of ways. That's a lot of competitive chirp." Chandler's comments go against what McGregor said of him just last week as 'Notorious' said: "I like Michael, we’re blokes. I posed with him yesterday. I’ve got no issues with him at all. I think he’s a good fighter. It will be an interesting one to go against him on TUF before I go against him [in the fight].”
