Chelsea star Conor Gallagher missed a glorious opportunity to equalise as Graham Potter's side suffered a third consecutive defeat heading into the World Cup break.
Gallagher returned to Stamford Bridge this summer after impressing on-loan at Crystal Palace last term and is now a regular starter under Graham Potter. The 22-year-old has just two goal contributions in 18 appearances so far this season but will be hoping to make a positive impact for the Three Lions in Qatar.
The Blues head into the break off the back of six domestic games without a win as pressure begins to mount on Potter. Gallagher was critical of his own performance and has sent a key message to his teammates as the Premier League pauses until Boxing Day next month.

Speaking after the disappointing defeat to Newcastle, Gallagher feels Chelsea need to 'look at themselves' in an effort to use the World Cup break to improve results once the Premier League resumes, as per The Mirror. The 22-year-old said: “We’ve got to be better and we need to take a look at ourselves.
"Physically, they [Newcastle] were stronger than us and a lot more intense and that’s something we need to improve on. If we want to be challenging for titles and things like that, then we need to be so much better and Newcastle showed that.
"So we need to look at ourselves because we know there’s a lot to improve on," he added. When asked about his chance that was saved by England teammate Nick Pope, Gallagher responded: “It was a bit of a soft shot and knowing how big Pope is, he got across to cover the goal well.
"I was hoping it would creep in. As it turned out, we conceded soon after that chance and that’s really disappointing from our perspective.”
