Conor Bradley makes Bolton Wanderers handball goal admission after Charlton Athletic win

Conor Bradley admitted there was a hint of handball in his equaliser for Bolton Wanderers in the victory over Charlton Athletic.

Scott Fraser put the hosts into the lead early on after capitalising on George Johnston's error. But Bradley struck not long after to put Bolton back on level terms.

The Whites went ahead before the break when Kieran Lee found the net. After half-time, Johnston helped to atone for his earlier error to score Bolton's third.

Wanderers also had to call upon James Trafford to contain the visitors, denying Jesurn Rak-Sakyi on a couple of occasions as they won 3-1. The win sees Bolton sitting eighth in the table on 11 points.

Bradley struck from close range from a fantastic Jack Iredale cross and got the last touch on the delivery. But replays showed that the ball could have gone in off the Liverpool loanee's hand.

The teenager admitted that the ball did indeed come off his hand as it ended up in the back of the net. But he was pleased he and his teammates were able to come from behind to pick up a valuable three points.

He said: “I think so (handball)… I’ll probably have to watch it again but to be honest I was away celebrating so quickly I didn’t really have time to think about it.

“Scoring for Bolton is unbelievable, I don’t care how it goes in. Hearing the roar of the fans when the ball goes in, it has been really good.

“It was a good three points and a good reaction from the boys to going a going down, getting two goals before half time so we’re all buzzing in there.

“Last week was difficult, three tough games and difficult results as well, but it was nice to get back winning ways and I think we’re definitely going back in the right direction.

“Me and Jack speak about that all the time, if he has a chance to cross he wants me in at that back post, thankfully it landed for me and I tucked it away."
