Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley has explained why he and the club opted for a loan move to Bolton Wanderers this season.
The 19-year-old joined the League One side earlier in the summer and has already made a positive impact. He's already got two goals under his belt, his first came in their 5-1 EFL Cup first round win over Salford City earlier this month.
On Tuesday night, Bolton faced Morecambe at home in a league clash and it was Bradley's 39th minute effort that separated the two sides. The youngster says the team's 'free-flowing' and 'attacking' style of play is a key reason he chose to spend the 2022/23 campaign at the University of Bolton Stadium.

He told the Manchester Evening News : “I love it. We played a similar way to the one at Liverpool. Quite attacking, free-flowing, playing the ball out from the back, so I have enjoyed it so far. It was one of the main reasons I came here. Liverpool wanted me to play somewhere similar to them, helping my development, so that’s why I picked Bolton, really.
“I don’t really model myself on anyone. I try and focus on myself. Obviously when I am at Liverpool I watch Trent’s (Alexander-Arnold) game and try to put them into mine but I am my own player and I want to carry on working hard."
Bradley made his senior debut for Liverpool last season in their 3-0 Carabao Cup win away at Norwich City. He also got run outs in both the FA Cup and Champions League, making a total of five senior appearances last term.
Bolton boss Ian Evatt is also pleased with Bradley's positive start at the club says the trust built with the likes of Liverpool have allowed them to bring in top talent on loan. He also referenced a visit from former sporting director Michael Edwards last season that helped facilitate the move.
“We’ve worked really hard on earning trust,” he told the Bolton News. “We’re in a great position here in the middle of the hub of football, the North West, with some brilliant football teams and some football clubs around us. Man City, Liverpool, Man United, Everton - those football clubs.
“Michael Edwards has left Liverpool now but he came and spent time with me last season, spent time at the training ground, looked at what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. He was really impressed and off the back of that, we’ve built relationships with Liverpool with some of their key staff and key decision makers and they’ve trusted us with Conor."
