Connor Ronan has completed his move to MLS side Colorado Rapids from Wolves.
The midfielder, who was called into the Ireland senior squad for the first time last year, has signed a four-year deal with the American club.
Ronan, 24, joined Wolves from Rochdale as a youth in 2014 and had five different loan spells away from Molineux, including time in Slovakia and Switzerland.
But he impressed at St Mirren and it was that stint in Scotland that earned him a call-up for the Belgium and Lithuania friendlies, although he didn’t play in either game.
In a video to Rapids fans, Ronan said: “I’m looking forward to a fresh start in Colorado and I can’t wait to come over and play in front of you all.”
Ex-FAI official Padraig Smith is the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Colorado Rapids.
And after sealing the deal, he said: “Connor is a highly technical and versatile midfielder who can play in both deep-lying and box-to-box midfield roles.
“He brings a high level of energy and ability to cover a lot of ground defensively, but also exceptional vision and passing qualities.
“We’re excited to add a player of his talent to our roster and look forward to welcoming him to Colorado.”
