Gio van Bronckhorst has demanded social media companies get tough on racism after Rangers defender Connor Goldson was targeted online.
The 29-year-old was involved in a post-match row with the Red Star players as the home side reacted angrily to the celebrations after the Ibrox side reached the last eight.
At the start of the season the defender posted a pic from the Marakana stadium with the caption: "New season, new goals! Its work time!"
That post has now been targeted by vile trolls following the aggregate victory in the Europa League.
Rangers boss Van Bronckhorst has slammed the disgusting comments and called for Instagram and other social media sites to act.
He told Sky Sports: "I haven't spoken with Connor yet about that
"It's a shame to see comments like that again. We see repeatedly players involved in racial comments on social media and as I have said before - and everyone else - we have to act.
"It's damaging for everyone and we have to make sure the rules are changed so that this can't happen again."
