Conjunctivitis patients show 84% positivity for human enteroviruses: AIIMS Raipur study

RAIPUR Conjunctivitis the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR: Real-time PCR tests on 30 samples have revealed an 84% positivity rate for Human Enteroviruses collected from patients infected with conjunctivitis at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur.

Most of the patients are from Chhattisgarh, while some are from other states. Earlier, NIV Pune had also identified this virus through PCR tests.
