Congresswoman Nancy May calls for release of Biden's mental acuity tapes

New Polls Show a Shift in Electoral Battlegrounds Ahead of 2022 Midterms

Recent polls in North Carolina and Michigan reveal a noticeable shift in voter sentiments, setting the stage for a potentially competitive election cycle in 2022. The polls indicate that former President Donald Trump has gained ground since the 2020 election, posing a challenge for the Democratic Party. These developments were discussed during a live interview with South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy May at a recent Trump rally.

In North Carolina, the poll indicates that Biden's support stands at 45 percent, while Trump's sits at 50 percent. This marks a significant increase for the former president, as Biden narrowly lost the state by just over a point in 2020. Similarly, in Michigan, Biden's approval rating has dropped to 47 percent, whereas Trump's sits at 50 percent, reflecting a significant five-point swing in the former president's favor.

Congresswoman Nancy May attributes these shifts to the enthusiasm and support that Trump continues to garner from his base. She emphasizes the importance of party unity when Trump is the nominee, asserting that if the base rallies behind him, there is little that can prevent his ascendance to the presidency.

One notable aspect of the North Carolina poll is the response of likely voters when asked what might make them reconsider their support. Among Trump's backers, the main concern is legal issues, which accounts for 23 percent. In contrast, among Biden's supporters, a staggering 40 percent express concerns about his mental acuity. These figures highlight the growing significance of questions surrounding Biden's mental fitness within the Democratic Party and beyond.

Congresswoman May echoes these concerns, referencing the Department of Justice's statement on record that Biden is not mentally fit to be prosecuted. She questions how someone who cannot be deemed mentally fit to face legal repercussions can be considered mentally fit to hold the office of the president. According to her, voters are expressing their worries about the border crisis, inflation, spending, taxes, and other pressing issues, while feeling uncertain about who is truly leading the nation.

In light of these concerns, there has been a recent call to release the transcript and potentially the audio recording of a conversation purportedly between President Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hurd. During a recent press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the possibility of releasing this material to the public. Congressman May expressed her support for transparency and called for the release of any evidence regarding Biden's mental acuity.

As the 2022 midterm elections approach, these shifts in key battleground states signal an increasingly contested political landscape. The outcomes of these races will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the balance of power between the two major parties. With the potential consequences on issues such as the economy, immigration, and taxation, the urgency to address concerns surrounding mental acuity becomes even more pronounced. As voters navigate through divergent narratives, the demand for increased transparency and the need to make informed decisions will be crucial in shaping the nation's political trajectory.
