Congressman Lawler confident spending agreement will prevent government shutdown

Congressman Lawler supports the top line spending agreement negotiated by Speaker McCarthy.

In a recent visit to the border, Congressman Michael Lawler of New York, along with Speaker Mike Johnson and over 60 House Republicans, traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas. This visit comes just ahead of Secretary Mayorkas' planned visit to the same location.

During an interview, Congressman Lawler addressed the top line spending agreement, expressing his belief that it bears resemblance to a previous agreement negotiated by the former Speaker of the House. He expressed confidence that this agreement will effectively prevent a government shutdown.
