NEW DELHI: Congress MP and media head Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday hit back at Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for launching a frontal attack against the Congress alleging that the party betrayed the Northeast.
On Tuesday, when Lok Sabha started a debate on the no-confidence motion moved by Congress MP and deputy leader of the party in the Lower House Gaurav Gogoi, Sarma spoke extensively on Manipur, alleging that the party betrayed not just the state but the entire Northeastern region.
