And while the week has been stuffed full of can't-miss telly, it was the promo clip for Channel 4’s Late Night Lycett that had everyone talking. Joe Lycett, who is known for his hilarious public stunts, has become a rising star in British comedy over the past few years.
The comedian has since been given his own Channel 4 show and while promoting the upcoming episode, the screen went black for a longer-than-is-comfortable time. Only for it to transpire it was part of the advert - leaving Gogglebox fans very confused.
@jonnymgdraws Tweeted: “Not the promo for #LateNightLycett being blacked out! #gogglebox.” @alexr_241 said: “Not me turning my tv on and off thinking it was just my tv that blacked out #Gogglebox.”
@HopeMarieBonnen commented: “Thought the power just went out to then realise my light was on wtf @C4Gogglebox #Gogglebox.”
@CraigS0309 wrote: “Nice promo for Joe Lycett's programme in the advert break #Gogglebox.”
@liamandrews123 joked: “That was a great part of #latenightlycett promo on #gogglebox.” While @JoshxReid added: “Thought I lost it with my screen going blank just then #gogglebox.”
