Thiago Silva returns to the starting XI having been on the bench for the clash against Manchester United, replacing Wesley Fofana who made two crucial errors against the Red Devils. The Brazilian veteran makes up a back four alongside Cesar Azpilicueta, Trevoh Chalobah and Lewis Hall.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek also returns to the team after having only made a cameo on Thursday night and replaces Carney Chukwuemeka. Raheem Sterling returns from a hamstring issue to start in the place of Mykhailo Mudryk
Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher join Gallagher in the centre of the pitch while Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke retain their places.
Alfie Gilchrist once again makes Chelsea's bench. Mateo Kovacic also returns from injury to line up on the bench.
