Bangkok authorities said repair work on the massive sinkhole on Samsen Road is progressing on schedule, with concrete already poured into the collapsed area and sand infilling set to begin on Tuesday.

On Sunday morning, workers used a crane to remove debris from the hole in front of Vajira Hospital before cutting underground communication cables blocking the site. The next stage will see sand poured into the hole, including beneath the nearby Samsen Police Station, to stabilise the subsidence zone.
