Concerns growing for missing Scots man who failed to return home two days ago

Police have launched a search for a missing Scots man after he has failed to return home.

Alexander McMillan was last seen on Donaldson Avenue, Kilsyth at around 11.45pm on Monday, April 22.

Cops said the 46-year-old has not returned home for the last two nights and none of his family and friends have spoken with him.

Alexander is described as white, around 6ft 1, with receding hair and a large bushy beard.

It was unknown what he is wearing when he was last seen, but he is believed to have taken a rucksack with him, and what appeared to be a fishing rod.

Sergeant Greig McKail said: “Alexander has now not returned home for two nights and as time goes on we are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

“We have been speaking to those who know him and are appealing for anyone who may have spoken to Alexander to get in touch.

“He knows the Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch areas well – we would ask anyone in this area to think back.

"Have you seen a man that could have been Alexander?”

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1579 of Wednesday, 27 April, 2022.
