Concerned US police take woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann 'seriously'

Police in America are taking the case of the Polish woman who claims she could be Madeleine McCann 'seriously' according to a psychic.

Julia Wendell, 21, has fled to the US with Dr Fia Johansson, a medium and spokesperson for Julia. Dr Fia has said she is investigating the case and said the pair jetted off the LA after the 21-year-old received a number of death threats since going viral.

When they arrived, Dr Fia posted to social media, thanking America for giving them 'safety', and said the US police are taking the case seriously and are looking into the threats sent to Julia.

Julia has now deleted her social media profiles while Dr Fia posts regular updates of their journey. On Wednesday (March 8), Julia was pictured on Dr Johansson's Instagram, safe and sound at an undisclosed location in California.

In the videos shared, Julia can be seen playing piano in the luxury home and surrounded my Dr Fia's three dogs.

The Daily Star writes that Dr Fia went on to also revealed she had been in contact with US authorities over Julia and the threats she has been sent. She said they were taking the matter "seriously".

In a series of posts, she the psychic wrote: "We've officially filed a report with law enforcement taking into account all the threats made online, documenting every account and individuals associated with disseminating threats and falsehoods regarding Julia's case and status.

"We've shared every email and social media account that's communicated directly with Julia, both threatening or attempting to lie about their connection to her family/Madeleine's family in order to lure her to their country.

"As with threats of this magnitude, US police are taking her case seriously and looking into all information/accounts with caution and deep concern.

"Julia is safe and she is happy. She wants to say THANK YOU to everyone that has shown her compassion, understanding, and support since this all began.

"Having the police involved in her case now is good news. We also will share some positive updates shortly. Thank you all for your care and positive thoughts for Julia!"

Julia took to Instagram last month to say share that she thinks she could be the missing Madeleine, pointing out she also has a speck in her eye and a freckle on her leg in the same place. She also added that she can't 'remember much' of her childhood.

And recently Dr Fia Johansson - a private detective and self-professed medium helping prove her claims - said her team found no hospital records for Julia in Wroclaw (the city she supposedly grew up in) relating to the first five years of her life.

Julia's family have denied her claims. According to Dr Johansson, her mum and dad have also blocked Julia's number and are refusing to do a DNA test.

In another video Dr Fia posted showed Julia phoning someone. Dr Fia narrated: “Okay guys she is now calling her mother to ask her to come and do a DNA test gently and right now, so far she is not answering the phone or texts," Dr Johansson said in a video that appears to have been recorded outside a Polish medical building.

She then attempts to ring her mother, but the call is blocked.

“She blocked her own daughter and she also said to our people she is not going to do any DNA test," Dr Johansson adds.
