Officers searching for a missing Washington man have announced that he has been found safe and well.
David Richards, 49, was reported missing after last being seenn at around 11am on Monday, leaving his home address on Coach Road.
His family and officers were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and had appealed to the public for help.
Just before 5.30pm on Tuesday, Northumbria Police revealed that David had been found safe and well.
