Hassan district unit of Youth Congress has filed a complaint against Home Minister Araga Jnanendra with the Hassan police, accusing him of issuing provocative statements following a murder in Bengaluru.
Hassan district Youth Congress president Ranjit Gorur and others met DySP Uday Bhaskar and submitted the complaint on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranjit Gorur said the Home Minister had spoken without understanding the repercussions of his statement. Later, he withdrew his statement and admitted it was his mistake. “He is working to please party leaders, but not to maintain law and order in the State. The BJP and its Ministers are trying to woo voters by dividing people on the lines of caste and religion”, he said.
Congress leaders Mohammed Arif, Farman, Chandan Gowda and others were present.
