Commuters may want to "change their working patterns accordingly" as London will be "extremely busy" for the Queen's lying in state, No 10 has warned.
This afternoon a ceremonial procession will transport Her Majesty's coffin from Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Westminster, where she will lie until her funeral on September 19.
Wednesday afternoon's procession is expected to draw large crowds and the sheer number of people in the capital is expected to put a serious strain on the city's transport network.
