In Colombia, killing of environmentalists chills conservation efforts

An environmental organization recently organized several events aimed at sea turtle conservation in Bauang, La Union, Philippines. One of the events saw around 250 community members coming together to clean a beach that serves as a nesting site for endangered sea turtles. The volunteers, in a remarkable display of dedication, managed to clear a staggering 3,000 pounds (approximately 1,360 kilograms) of trash from the coastline, helping to create a safer environment for the marine creatures.

Curma's coastal run attracted over 1,200 participants supporting sea turtle conservation.
