A north Dublin community is in mourning following the death of a much-loved local woman.
Tributes have been paid to Susan Gavin, who died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2022. Susan worked in Dealz in Finglas and was originally from Ballymun, she was described as the "heart and soul" of the store by her colleagues.
A heartfelt message on the Dealz Finglas Facebook page reads: "It is with the deepest sadness that we let you know our colleague Susan Gavin has passed away peacefully. Susan was the heart and soul of Dealz Finglas, customers and staff loved her so much.

"Always so cheerful, and had a smile that would brighten up anyone's day. She was so helpful to everyone and would go above and beyond without giving it a second thought.
"She will always be remembered as the SCO queen. She will be dearly missed."
Friends and family took to the comment to pay tributes to Susan who was laid to rest on Monday.
One person said: "So very sorry for your loss! Sue was an absolutely fabulous lady with great banter! R.I.P"
Another person added: "What a lovely lady, always smiling and lovely chat with her customers. Part of a lovely community that Dealz in Finglas make sure that their staff suits their customers. Sleep tight, condolences to all her nearest and dearest."
A third well-wisher said: "Such sad news. She was always so friendly and helpful. May she rest in peace."
